I am from Portland, OR but currently live and work in the Boston area. Although I like writing, I’ve never maintained a blog before now. I write about the things that interest me both professionally and personally. Most of my writing is focused on technical topics but I also like to write about other things. Currently I am employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs. Creating gizmos and other small programming projects around the house is one of my favorite hobbies. Writing about them is a way to solidify my understanding and hopefully to get some critical or positive feedback from the outside world. Outside of programming and writing, I enjoy running, hiking, backpacking, watching trashy reality TV, playing fantasy sports, Pickleball, and drawing.
